One of the best place parts in the house is our bedroom. It is the place where we find rest, comfort and relaxation. A new invention, the Refrigerator Aquarium. Ok, so what do you get if you cross an aquarium with a refrigerator? This sounds like a joke, but this new invention does exactly that, merges the two functions of each separate device. At the bottom of the fish tank is an additional tank which contains freshwater fish, with pods for growing vegetables at the top. The neat part is that the plants filter the water which gets to the fish, whilst the fish fertilize the water for the plants. The Locavores appeared in San Francisco in 2005 and define themselves as ‘a group of culinary adventurers who eat foods produced in a radius of 100 miles (160 km) around their city’. By doing so they aim to reduce impact on the environment.

One of the ways to be comfortable with our live is having the right tools that we needed in certain situation. It helps us do and finish the things we need to do. During my vacation to the Philippines I was surprised that the once young kids I last saw were now being teenagers, time flies so fast, we’re not getting any younger , and they play instruments already much better than I do. As you can see there were even three of them playing the guitar, but one of them played bass.

They are performing services in a temporary shelter. Below is the main church building that we are helping to build through donations and support. Even when the resources are limited, it is satisfying to see it is already formed. A small amount made a great difference and impact here.

The monsoony afternoon clouds over Juhu beach, Bombay (Mumbai, India). Taken from the hotel we stayed in. It was a good day sky watching from the inside, and also watching thousands of Indians lazying out the afternoon ashore. It was a regular delight for me watching them and sometimes joining them. See the stormy weather did not prevent them from spending the time with their lovers, family and friends playing ball, sitting or sleeping on the sand despite the multitude, or even daring to swim in the grayish waters.

Sometimes it is hard to keep our cool especially if we have been so looking forward to go home, and then all of a sudden the flight is canceled due to plane’s hydraulic problems. So hubby’s flight is delayed for 36 hours. As frustrating as it was, I am still glad that at least nothing bad happened yet, God forbid! From Mumbai to New York direct flight comes only once a day. They found the problem out just when it is about to take off. Makes me wonder how thorough their inspections are. Still glad though though we would have to bear one more day. Just have to wait. Ggrrr..
