WW: Gateway of India scene

Aug 28, 2008 Author: bluegreen butterfly | Filed under: Photography, Travels

I wanted to go there but on that second time it was kind of ‘wrong timing’ as the Gateway was ‘retouched/repaired’ with those grayish brown material covering it. I said ‘wrong timing’ because the cloth kind of hinder the view when we took photos. Needless to say we did. I realized upon looking at the picture that, ‘oh no, they are staring at me’. It was kinda funny scene.

Sustainable domestic seafood recipe

Aug 27, 2008 Author: bluegreen butterfly | Filed under: Health, reviews

Food and food, so good, especially seafoods. The internal organs of sea creatures shines forth light; they had eaten a lot of fresh weeds as they grow, and hidden all the sea nutrients and delicacies within them. That is why I love seafood on top of all kinds of food, especially shrimps. They replenish what minerals our body needs. Aside from that, they really taste so delicious, a great mouth-watering taste. You see it is very beneficial to use domestic seafood because of that; they are healthy and full of nutrients. They are fresh and when in local season, they are fat and readily available, enough to meet our needs. Here in Louisiana, food is superb, unique and special on its own. It is one of the great American seafood. But so other states have great to offer. Showcased in www.GreatAmericanSeafoodCookOff.com, talented chefs from across America make use of sustainable domestic seafood and recipes in a cook off. Look how delicious they seem.

Which one is your favorite? Mine is the Shrimp and Andouille Cassoulet by Louisiana Chef Brian Landry, the first one. It is a simple dish but the way of cooking and the sincerity in preparing it with all the healthy ingredients all combined make it very creative and special.

On a holy ground

Aug 27, 2008 Author: bluegreen butterfly | Filed under: arts and culture, Travels

I grew up in a tradition of leaving our shoes or slippers outside when we enter anyone’s house. For respect. And also to prevent dirt from coming into the house. But gone are those days (Spanish occupation in the Philippines) when rich hosts would let their servants follow your footsteps with a rag, that made the guests a ‘bit’ uneasy. In India, there is still this culture of respecting the ground you walk on, especially those old ‘sacred’ structures by way of being barefooted or covering the shoes. This man’s job is to see to it.  Somehow, when I recall those places, I always remember that man by the entrance putting visitors’ shoe covering. It’s a noble job.

Webroot’s Spy Sweeper which resides on my system popped up a warning that an IP address of 131.107.115.28 is trying to access the Internet. I did not recognize it so I blocked it, and if spy sweeper thinks it is a potential, I would not let it pass. I found out that the address is actually crl.Microsoft.com. Microsoft’s CRL (Certificate Revocation List) is invoked by Internet Explorer to check if the app’s component or digital signature has been revoked or is authentic. Changing the IE settings will stop the message from keep appearing.

- Select TOOLS/INTERNET OPTIONS
- select ADVANCED from the new window
- scroll down to SECURITY
- uncheck ” Check for publisher’s certificate Revocation “

Aug 20, 2008 Author: admin | Filed under: Personal

Indeed Einstein made equations man could possibly formulate, but is there such a thing as time travel formula, machine or method? We can travel in time, always forward, and time passed will never be back, but some people are trying to come up with solution to go back to time. What do you think?
