We have a merry and loud Christmas eve this year. Loud in the sense that all sound systems here were operated in full volume, at least just for few minutes. And it was not yet New Year’s eve! We have several young people caroling us (they already had few times the previous days) with their voices so great they will give goosebumps. Their choir group (two members are my cousins, and others now church converts) is called “League of Young Voices” and they have been competing nationally. We have some preparation for Christmas eve and we let them eat, and all of us too. It was a really happy day. May yours was a blessed one.

It was the same flight and schedule, traveling by reward and by early flight reservation, same flight route and same feeling: excitement and contentment because I was going home for a vacation. I did not spend my Christmas in the Philippines last year, but I was able to see the record-high Christmas tree that was built in Freedom Park. In 2006 it was the highest Christmas tree nationwide, but last year it was divided into two equal lengths, the other half was giving lights to the people around the public market. They were tremendous. This year they are just fabulous with all the other Christmas lights and displays, they are very entertaining and ‘joy-giving’. May yours is full.
