Water conservation

Mar 27, 2009 Author: bluegreen butterfly | Filed under: India

This was a billboard outside the nice hotel we stayed at in our Taj Mahal trip in Northern India. It says, “Life runs on H2O (water), don’t waste it.” We could not hear it better from a country accounting only 4% of global freshwater resources for its 18% of the world population. But wherever we are, either we have plenty or scarce, the same thing applies to water conservation just like of other resources. We are stewards of these resources and we should manage them well.

hash museumThere are so many things to see and to know about the Netherlands, especially its capital, Amsterdam. It has several important historic places to visit and a must-see. I also wanted to to see the Anne Frank museum. On the streets of Amsterdam, amidst the coffeshoppes, stores and the night life houses and businesses famous there, there is also a museum that is as intriguing, the hash marihuana and hemp museum in Amsterdam.

These lights that are formed into a huge musical sign depicts the feast theme of my hometown on its “Musikahan sa Tagum”, or Music Festival in Tagum. It is also for the effort it to be the music capital in the Philippines. The festival run for several days, featuring students all over the city that are all musically talented, and the nationally award-winning musicians. It’s all about music, baby.

Reliable memory

I am very pleased with my laptop’s performance and speed so far. When we are on the go or traveling these things are paramount. I have had experiences of lost time just by waiting for the PC to read something, but with my computer, it is so fast, thanks for its system memory for faster response and processing, and downloading. I owe this to hubby who bought only the best, and it makes sense since in the end we save time, effort and money.

Auto lifts

Few weeks ago we went to the car shop in Davao where my sister bought her vehicle. Mom said that the company improved a lot since they last went there. They now have an array of automotive lifts and other accessories as well as new SUV’s in line. The car lifts serve them best, especially the sunburnt shop/garage boys and by saving time, energy and costs. Their job is a lot faster and satisfactory customers have to return there for service not too often.

Lechon tray

Roasted pig is a staple food in the Philippines. It is our “party food” as crawfish boil is for Louisiana. But I love roasted pig so much as do hubby. When I visited my paternal side relatives we brought a roasted pig with us to party about on our reunion. Since it is our specialty, of course we have something specially made for roasted pig, a lechon (roasted pig) tray to lay the crispy yummy roasted pig on. We were not expecting though that these kids would be carrying it from an aunt’s house two hundred meters away down the road. The tray has a special handle and of course, it is formed like a pig.

Peru for less

Machu Picchu in Peru is one of the highly valued archeological sites in the world. And it would be an awesome experience of a lifetime to see what it has treasured for thousands of years through our own eyes, the spectacular views of the “Lost City of the Incas” and other magnificent architecture of their time. I know some people who have been there on their trip and all they could say was that it was an amazing Machu Picchu travel experience, made easy and comfortable by Peru for less travel agency. I have dealt with international travel agencies myself and I like those honest and upfront, who don’t have hidden or unreasonable charges especially to those who don’t know. But Peru for less has guaranteed that theirs is the least price published, of course superior service and support 24/7. You may book now.

Error establishing database connection

Mar 15, 2009 Author: bluegreen butterfly | Filed under: wordpress

There is one issue that returns a website being viewed a message that says “error establishing a database connection”. The case on one of the websites was that the owner upgrades his wordpress version in the the latest available through fantastico in the the control panel. The question was how did it just returned one website error while the other websites being upgraded worked fine? But one of the add-on websites? Somehow, somewhere there was a change made that returned an error of establishing database connection and therefore cannot view the website nor can login to wordpress though website/wp-login.php. The fix? Watch these awesome tutorial videos and we will learn a lot.
