The 2nd year IGBI students are now so excited preparing for the coming crusade next week with the topic “be transformed” to be tackled by the students who will share the word of God. The venues are in Pangi and pamakawon. We are expecting for about 200 to 300 participants including the students of the whole bible school. As workers of Christ, this opportunity of sharing Gods word to the lost souls are great job and satisfies our hearts.
Two weeks ago I visited the Gabayan family and there I saw an old woman who suffered for sickness but I thought she’s okay so we offered prayer and ask God for healing and work over their lives but a day after she died, three days ago the same family I went back and again the son was sick and prayed again but in that evening he died. I reflected of what had happened and realized the value of life. The bible said what a profit for a man even he gains the whole world but lost his soul. We do not know our tomorrow, even how strong our body right now but tomorrow we still don’t know. Right now if you never receive Jesus as your personal savior and decided to be His only savior and lord in our lives then you should be. Paul said if we will confess through thy mouth that Jesus died at the cross buried and resurrected for our sin then we will be saved.
For almost every day we work hard and spent more of our time with work or in business just to make sure that our future for our kids even in our selves will be secured. Yes it is true, we need to do our best for our future, but we need to realize that our future is not only focuses with material things. It is not only of what we have but most of all is who we are in the future. Our behavior must be shaped today so our future kids will do the same. Also we need to realize that we have God and we have soul to prepare for our future eternal life. We have to prepare today as well as to invest our life at the same time for our God. So today we must be balanced with our endeavors both material and spiritual things. Thank you.
The journey of our life never ends only until death physically but another journey of life awaits us after it. This is the time that we will be spending for eternity. A few days ago the husband of our co-member of the church passed away. Many of her families and relative ask me about the realities of life, and that was the time I talked them about life after death that we need to be prepared for we will be spending for eternity, the places awaited us according to the scripture are heaven or the lake of fire. Faith in God and receiving Him as our personal savior by believing Him that He died at the cross for you and for me is very important. And it is not too late for you and me, have come for a decision.
The reason why we are still alive is because of Gods plan and purpose in our life. Some of us are called to be a pastor, might be others are called to be an evangelist, teacher, comforter or even a supporter in His ministry, all of us has individual gift God had prepared partly during His death till resurrected. All of us should ponder if what is the purpose of our life why we exist. God owns our life and he wanted to enjoy our life on earth with Him.
Lord you know I’m week, you know all things about me, and you alone know my heart. Lord I pray that you will always protect me, you care for me and give me strength to fight against the devils lies. Lord you alone can make me strong and you know the desires of my heart. Lord what I experienced right now and all the trials and short comings I’ve made I will let you work over my whole life. In Jesus name Amen…
What should we do? First we have to understand that God loves you, and He died at the cross for you and me to save us from the penalty of sin, and was buried but resurrected to give us hope. Next, we must have an understanding that faith in Christ leads us for salvation of our souls and this is a gift from God as stated in Ephesians 2:8, and also in Romans 10:9 say “That if thou shall confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shall be saved.”
