Proud to be Pinoy. Filipinos are very happy and proud for the victory of Manny Pacquiao. Manny Pacquiaio retained his WBO welterweight title by knocking down Mosley in the boxing championship fight last week in MGM Grand Garden in Las Vegas. It was a good fight. Manny got hard time knocking down Mosley but still he did in the third round and dominated the fight until in the 12 round. Pacquiao landed exactly 100 more punches than Mosley did as what judges said. The scores by unanimous decision were: 119-108, 120-108 and 120-107. It is now Manny Pacquiao’s 14 consecutive winning. Mosley was a great fighter too and was so sports. Thank you for bringing pride and honor to the country, Manny! You are winner.
Osama Bin Laden is dead! A breaking news that startled the whole world this week. US President Ba
rak Obama announced and confirmed the death of Osama Bin Laden. It was the first day of the month when US Naval Seal’s invaded Osama Bin Laden’s compound at Abbottabad Pakistan that finished Bin Laden’s life. Osama Bin Laden was the mastermind behind the World Trade Center attack last Sept. 11, 2001 that killed thousands of people; and also the responsible of all the attack bombings in some parts of the world and the leader of Al Qaida terrorist group. It’s a victory for everyone especially to the victims of His brutality. It’s a great relief to their sorrow. The world is rejoicing not because someone died but because of the sense that His death is giving peace and safer world.
I just got back from my one week Christmas trip to my relatives in Oklahoma and Arkansas. It would be almost a thousand mile drive back and forth; I was very determined and excited. But I was thinking of the car wheels. The tires are fairly new, I just visually inspected them, and hoped they wont burst or ran flat on me while on the road. I have never drove this far out before nor being alone, and I was not familiar either of the way. But as of the brake rotors I had had no problems, thanks goodness. It was indeed a remarkable trip, the way may not be short, straight and smooth, but I got back home safe, and having had the best Christmas holiday.
Skywatch Friday:
My Skywatch Friday photo is taken from the ‘sky’, of the ever-changing beauty that was endless, aboard an airplane bound to Chicago. It was a good flight though it was so cloudy at that time.

A view at the Millennium Park right across from the Philippines Consulate in Chicago. This was right before noon one winter in the windy city. I just visited the city for two days and I had pretty much seen points of interests that I need to see, huh, the forever structure fanatic of me. Do you know the name of the buildings on the background?
At the Millennium Park, a view of the trellis over the Great Lawn, and the beautifully-designed bandshell at Jay Pritzker Pavilion with the Blue Cross Blue Shield Tower on the backdrop. The Pavilion has been the venue since 2004 of the great Grant Park Music Festival, a Chicago tradition since the Great Depression. Speaking of entertainment to lift depressing spirits! In the practical part of life, our simple act of kindness and understanding might just what other people need to make their day. I really enjoyed the experience.
A view taken from the ledge of the skydeck of Willis (Sears) Tower in the windy city of Chicago. Grrrr.. When I think of it my feet still feel like shaking, whoaahah.. It was an amazing and definitely unforgettable experience for me, to roam around the city in the dead of winter and making it to the top of the one of the tallest buildings here.
We were on the boat already. We were fishing for some baits along this part, near the dock. Facing north I shot this peaceful photo of the levee and the tree silhouette against the breaking of the morning. So refreshing for me. Interesting also it is uncle who is doing the maintenance of the levee here along the river.
