The Municipality of Bunawan Agusan Sur is now a title holder of the biggest rescued crocodile of the world. It is a pride to be in the Guinness book of records and proud it is from Philippines. Though we saw it in the television many times still we want to see it in personal to better appreciate the crocodile and it was indeed a big one, it’s like a carabao and it can accommodate maybe three humans in his tummy. He was named as Lolong. We noticed that he has some bruises and not moving for some quit time. According to the local Lolong is a wild crocodile so the time for him to move and roam around is during evening but the visiting time will close at 5pm.

Proud to be Pinoy. Filipinos are very happy and proud for the victory of Manny Pacquiao. Manny Pacquiaio retained his WBO welterweight title by knocking down Mosley in the boxing championship fight last week in MGM Grand Garden in Las Vegas. It was a good fight. Manny got hard time knocking down Mosley but still he did in the third round and dominated the fight until in the 12 round. Pacquiao landed exactly 100 more punches than Mosley did as what judges said. The scores by unanimous decision were: 119-108, 120-108 and 120-107. It is now Manny Pacquiao’s 14 consecutive winning. Mosley was a great fighter too and was so sports. Thank you for bringing pride and honor to the country, Manny! You are winner.
Osama Bin Laden is dead! A breaking news that startled the whole world this week. US President Barak Obama announced and confirmed the death of Osama Bin Laden. It was the first day of the month when US Naval Seal’s invaded Osama Bin Laden’s compound at Abbottabad Pakistan that finished Bin Laden’s life. Osama Bin Laden was the mastermind behind the World Trade Center attack last Sept. 11, 2001 that killed thousands of people; and also the responsible of all the attack bombings in some parts of the world and the leader of Al Qaida terrorist group. It’s a victory for everyone especially to the victims of His brutality. It’s a great relief to their sorrow. The world is rejoicing not because someone died but because of the sense that His death is giving peace and safer world.
It seems that our days in India are over, whether temporary or not. We have seen what we have to see, and visited places we ought to while there, and I am privileged which I am so grateful for. Have to move on. Middle east is very exciting for me too. I have several former college classmates and fellow engineers that work there. I want to know more about its culture (music, art, dress, and cuisine) and the beauty there is to share to those who stop to appreciate, or for those who want to see everything there is.
Frontier trivia of the day:
As of 2007, oil and natural gas revenues had enabled Qatar to attain the highest per capita income in the world, followed by Luxembourg. (see note)
Thanks be unto Him who walks upon the wind, who rides above the storm! There were broken limbs and twigs everywhere, but only one tree uprooted around the property. Thank God there were no damages in the buildings. The water supply was cut off, we had no electricity (but I had prepared for it!) so there was no way to know about what had come of the hurricane, the news and progress. But I guessed that time Gustav was gradually fading and further inland. As of about several days ago, as I said we didn’t have access to the news but I just hoped that nothing is coming over here in Louisiana anymore. Because sometimes when nature strikes, once is not enough. And we are all so thankful that hurricane Ike indeed didn’t harm us, though my heart goes to those affected. We just lost power yesterday for two hours because a big tree fell across the road where the power line is, but it was not as bad as Gustav where we had no electricity for four days. As of now, the once category 4 hurricane has become just a tropical depression, and just right since it has been storming around for a week more or less. Well, some through the water, some through the flood, some through the fire, but all through the blood.. some through great sorrow but God gives a song, in the night season and all the day long. And that was what I have been doing when we were in the dark. And He led me.
