I haven’t heard from one of my college classmates for several years, and oh how much has changed since our school days. He was looking at this picture and wondered if I am alone in this quiet and ‘cold’ place. I’m not, always, and it will not be quiet soon..

I flew to Chicago, Illinois last January to have my expiring Philippine passport renewed at the Consulate. The process did not take me long because I have prepared already the necessary documents, after all, it would not be wise and easy to fly back or roam around the city for one paper. I enjoyed, despite the bitter cold, walking around and seeing lots of things. It was one unforgettable trip. I was so slow though. It would be months later before I found out something happened or was done while I was in Chicago. But I hope in the Lord, and what He has prepared for me.

I really had a great time visiting my friend in Florida couple of months ago. I stayed in their house for one week, and toured around Disneyworld’s parks. This was the guest room. It’s very nice, to wake up each morning seeing the lovely flowers through the windows with beautiful blinds and hearing the birds’ morning calls by the creek. It was really amazing. I really enjoyed my stay and so glad I went and visit them by myself.

We heard a lot of things referring to Chicago these days, but there are still some nice things in the Windy City, just like anywhere else. I flew there to take care of my Philippine passport business, it was expiring, and shivering in the middle of winter, experienced what a ‘tourist’ should see. I could not let the tallest building in this continent pass by right on my eyes, lol, and besides, engineering structures captivates me. This is taken in the Willis (Sears) Tower last January as I was going up to be on the skydeck. Superb experience..

Summer has not begun yet it is so hot already, are you sweating out there? Here the grasses are slowly dying, the soil drying. But of course, it is the best time to take a vacation or do some recreation like fishing or going to the beach. Lee had not caught lot of fish this day, but it was good enough. Got me excited even when I was not fishing that time, just for fun or otherwise.

These are the musicians at the German Pavilion restaurant in Disney World Resort. We surely were entertained. It was a very cozy place. We had a great time and had good German food. I treat my friend and her husband this time. With us in our table were three nice people from Europe taking their vacation, in fact, two of them are couples celebrating their 55th wedding anniversary! It’s such a blessing to reach that long and they were still as sweet. Wouldn’t it be nice if every couple share the same principles and commitment.

The Cinderella Castle in Disney World in Florida, with the awesome fireworks that night when my friend and I were visiting. We didn’t mind the waiting and the exhaustion of long walks and the crowd, for everything was a great experience. Who knows I may never go back there, but I have seen what I had to that time, I spent it with my dearest friend, and I was having a great time. It was an unforgettable vacation of course.
