personal and travels
I just got back from my one week Christmas trip to my relatives in Oklahoma and Arkansas. It would be almost a thousand mile drive back and forth; I was very determined and excited. But I was thinking of the car wheels. The tires are fairly new, I just visually inspected them, and hoped they wont burst or ran flat on me while on the road. I have never drove this far out before nor being alone, and I was not familiar either of the way. But as of the brake rotors I had had no problems, thanks goodness. It was indeed a remarkable trip, the way may not be short, straight and smooth, but I got back home safe, and having had the best Christmas holiday.
A view of The Netherlands from our descending airplane Equipment 762. We had such a long almost 10 hour flight and it was a beautiful wet sight to wake up to, knowing we almost made it to our destination, safe so far, and finally about to land on Netherlands’ main international airport, the AMS, Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. Ah, no matter how smooth or turbulent the flight, the most important thing is that we all make a safe landing in every journey we take, right?
A view at the Millennium Park right across from the Philippines Consulate in Chicago. This was right before noon one winter in the windy city. I just visited the city for two days and I had pretty much seen points of interests that I need to see, huh, the forever structure fanatic of me. Do you know the name of the buildings on the background?
The Taj Mahal, monument of love. It is a very impressive work of art with a grand story behind it. We entered the compound’ at 8:30 in the cold morning, and we were out by about 10:30 A.M. And I realized, ‘what’s the hurry?, the “moon is full”! which also makes a very nice view at night by the way
At the Millennium Park, a view of the trellis over the Great Lawn, and the beautifully-designed bandshell at Jay Pritzker Pavilion with the Blue Cross Blue Shield Tower on the backdrop. The Pavilion has been the venue since 2004 of the great Grant Park Music Festival, a Chicago tradition since the Great Depression. Speaking of entertainment to lift depressing spirits! In the practical part of life, our simple act of kindness and understanding might just what other people need to make their day. I really enjoyed the experience.
A view taken from the ledge of the skydeck of Willis (Sears) Tower in the windy city of Chicago. Grrrr.. When I think of it my feet still feel like shaking, whoaahah.. It was an amazing and definitely unforgettable experience for me, to roam around the city in the dead of winter and making it to the top of the one of the tallest buildings here.
This is a lovely flower arrangement. Actually this was in Paragon casino resort. My friend brought me there, just to go out and have some fun, instead of just staying inside the house all the time, it’s kind of boring, so off we went had a great night. It was couple of hours drive away, but we got what we went there for. Having good time looking around, watching senior couples dance it was real enjoyable. I just had to face two security guards because it’s not allowed for people below 21 years old to get inside. They think I am! Lol..
