Happy New Year!

Happy New Year! We had a very happy one and a New Year’s eve, 2009 watch night celebration held in the church. What made it more fulfilling was the giving we did. The gifts we gave might be just small things but they mean so much to those who received. It was a lesson for me too. I was glad that I was able to share for it was more gratifying seeing them happy and loving what you shared. It was a blessing seeing so many people giving gifts and present to everyone, sharing a part of what blessings they got throughout the whole year. It was one of the most unforgettable church celebration.

Roofing of our church

At last the roofing of our church in the Philippines is already starting. Praise God and thank you for the sponsor. It is really an answered prayers. For how about 4 years we were attending our church in a very small place. Hopefully the whole church building will be finished. By the way, I love the clouds and the blue sky background.

Teenage surprise

I took some photos from home, in Bautista where we attend the church. Our church is still under construction so we are still using the temporary shed. I had been gone for thirteen months and when I got back, I was surprised that the young children before are now teenagers with talents in musical instruments and using them at church. That is a very good one. Maybe they follow “us” . I’m just glad that they were raised in that way. The photo is of young people singing a special number during a church service with three of them playing the guitar, one is my youngest brother.

PhotoHunt 102 (1): Beauty of progress

During my vacation to the Philippines I was surprised that the once young kids I last saw were now being teenagers, time flies so fast, we’re not getting any younger , and they play instruments already much better than I do. As you can see there were even three of them playing the guitar, but one of them played bass.

They are performing services in a temporary shelter. Below is the main church building that we are helping to build through donations and support. Even when the resources are limited, it is satisfying to see it is already formed. A small amount made a great difference and impact here.
