This was the row where we seated inside the Lousiana Superdome, on the first two front seats. ‘They’d better win’! And the Saints did. And they say “Who dat say that Saints can’t win, who dat?” They just made their own franchise win record. Glad because it makes hubby happy and excited, at least worth the trip; well, even if they lost, we still had a great time there. It was so noisy when the game was over, even down on the streets, everyone of them fans is so happy and jubilant. Who would not be if they’e crazy about it..
Last year we took a taxi, but this year we learned a lesson. We just walked to Louisiana Superdome which was just some blocks away from the hotel we stayed at for the weekend. We saved not just money for the taxi, or from possible trouble from finding our parking space if we drove down. Walking down several streets gave our feet the exercise due them, and of course, some quality time together. It was memorable. Even saved us a lot of time of getting to our destination faster than being trapped in several minutes of taffic.
He keeps mentioning about going to New Orleans. Honestly I want somewhere fresh, a new and different place. But with all the entertainment in New Orleans, not that we involve in all of them, especially the Bourbon Street ‘shows’, I will be fine. On our last trip I had not seen this man with his li’l toy pup with his immobile stunt, it is very funny and ‘entertaining’. What I like most about this is the fact that he is inseparable with his companion, of course, a man’s best friend, a dog. They make a very good picture.
I knew he was also bored to death, but just for the sake of the experience and of being aboard the famous ‘steamer Natchez’ for a tour along the river, I still had fun for being there. The best part were observing other people aboard and of course seeing New Orleans from a different benchmark, on the river. Isn’t it beautiful? For me seeing the remnants of the ‘older era’ in New Orleans was more beautiful, and priceless.
It was just a quick passing glance but I recognized it right away! It was the Philippine ‘colors’. We were strolling through the Riverwalk shopping center in New Orleans two months ago and those lovely national flags in a form of an umbrella were hanging up high in the store’s display. I smiled in national pride seeing my country’s flag there.
This is our main reason of going to New Orleans: to watch the Sunday football game in the Superdome between the New Orleans Saints and the Raiders. It was funny to see different displays of fans’ craziness over their teams. This one is very funny. Who says it’s only for kids?
At the river walk towards our way to the IMAX theater in New Orleans. Behind is the beautiful fountain, soaring up high (in what my G10 camera can vividly capture,) only to fall back down its lowest point with a heavy drop, like the dramas in life. But life is an endless frontier, sure it is beautiful and good things still happen, even much sweeter after the fall.
Namashtè! We are heading to New Orleans in few days. We are glad that the hurricanes did not do considerable damage to the crescent city, so our schedule does not change. We had been to New Orleans a few times but we are not yet so familiar with the whole city so of course we rely on maps and guides. I found this cute widget online I would like to share. A guide to New Orleans, interactive city map and photos, with review links for sights and attractions, restaurants, bars and more…
