PhotoHunt 102 (1): Beauty of progress
During my vacation to the Philippines I was surprised that the once young kids I last saw were now being teenagers, time flies so fast, we’re not getting any younger :-D, and they play instruments already much better than I do. As you can see there were even three of them playing the guitar, but one of them played bass.
They are performing services in a temporary shelter. Below is the main church building that we are helping to build through donations and support. Even when the resources are limited, it is satisfying to see it is already formed. A small amount made a great difference and impact here.
Afternoon delight
The monsoony afternoon clouds over Juhu beach, Bombay (Mumbai, India). Taken from the hotel we stayed in. It was a good day sky watching from the inside, and also watching thousands of Indians lazying out the afternoon ashore. It was a regular delight for me watching them and sometimes joining them. See the stormy weather did not prevent them from spending the time with their lovers, family and friends playing ball, sitting or sleeping on the sand despite the multitude, or even daring to swim in the grayish waters.
Cancelled flights
Sometimes it is hard to keep our cool especially if we have been so looking forward to go home, and then all of a sudden the flight is canceled due to plane’s hydraulic problems. So hubby’s flight is delayed for 36 hours. As frustrating as it was, I am still glad that at least nothing bad happened yet, God forbid! From Mumbai to New York direct flight comes only once a day. They found the problem out just when it is about to take off. Makes me wonder how thorough their inspections are. Still glad though though we would have to bear one more day. Just have to wait. Ggrrr.. 😀

WW: School bus
This is my WW entry for this week. Just few weeks ago, as my family and I were traveling, we happened to pass by this school bus. I was so amused how the students at the back where almost up the roof of the bus. I think they had fun though. I laughed my head off.
