All about Ate

First fruit is always be special and she was the first fruit of mom and dad’s love. But of course the rest of the fruits are special too, including me.lol. She is the eldest of seven children. Her name is Lorelee E. Planas. According to mom at the age of six she can already wash plates and cook rice in the kitchen. She helps mom a lot in terms of dealing with us, her younger sisters and brothers. She was also a consistent honor student during her days and mom and dad was so proud for her. She witnessed my mom and dad’s hardships and sacrifices just to send us to school and have an education. She considered it as a challenge and not a hindrance to realize her ultimate dream, to help the family. Because of her determination she graduated from Nursing and passed the nursing board exam. In her novice stage luckily she got her first job in Mercy Maternity Clinic and was working there for ten years and delivered more than 500 babies. She loves to serve other people especially the poor. MMC helps a lot in molding ate’s skills in maternal and child nursing but most especially touching ate’s spiritual well-being. Later on with her practice she took a midwifery exam and passed. She’s a registered nurse and registered midwife.

Officially a ‘ber’ months

It’s officially a -ber- months. I already heard Christmas songs in the air. Truly Christmas season is approaching. Everyone is so excited for the bonus and the 13th month maybe. Malls are getting busier each day accommodating customers who started to buy decorations for christmas. I really love to see decors, the shining of lights and the melody it gives.

I’m totally lost in space

I really feel like I’m totally lost in space. I was into the battle without anything with me. I don’t know anything. I was not oriented with the place and the nature of work. I was trying to learn with my own effort and understanding. It was really a bad day for me but I thank the Lord for I have learn something today out of my imperfections. Still I am holding on and thinking that everything has an end. Three months is soon to end.

He uses hearing aid

People with disabilities must be treated as if they are normal people. In fact the government must find a way to give them work related to their abilities and skills in order to continue their living without depending to their parents. I remember my classmate before who was having an ear problem, he cannot hear but he continue his studies with the help of hearing aid at HearingAidsElite.com. I don’t have any news from him now. They are not blessed with these things but surely God blesses them in different ways.

Breastfeeding week

As a nurse it’s our responsibility to promote breastfeeding to all mothers especially in the hospital that I am connected now. We are a mother-baby friendly hospital. All mothers are oblige to breastfeed and if not possible they are required to express milk and give it to the milk bank for the babies in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. The breastfeeding week had just finished. Every one wore our printed t-shirts from t-shirt printing here. All program went well and successful.

Keep me safe, Lord!

I always ask God to give me more knowledge and wisdom so I can be more effective as a nurse. We are dealing with lives everyday and we are all at risk for negligence and mistakes. I need to be careful in everything. As I noticed now a days lots of nurses are making mistakes and errors especially in the medication which is fatal to the patients. I am asking you Lord to keep me safe from any mistake that I may be careful and cautious in all I do. You never fail me Lord. I trust You. I can do nothing without you Lord. Amen
